Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. Every year in Term 3 we host a whole school musical which is a highlight for our community.
Camps and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Year 6 to 7 Transition
Every year we are excited to support our Year 6 students as they prepare to transition into high school. Students in Year 6 receive a link to an online Expression of Interest Form.
In order to help make the transition a smooth and positive experience for every student and their family, multiple events are held for Year 6 Students throughout the year with Rutherford Technology High School. Many of these events help you and your child feel prepared for starting school. Students have the opportunity to meet RTHS friendly staff, explore their school facilities, and see what makes RTHS a great place to learn
